Thomas West
Thomas grew up near Wheeling, WV, but pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English, History, and Classics at Marshall University. After working in the customer service industry as a representative, supervisor, and trainer he returned to school at Syracuse University, where he is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in English, with an especial focus on Film, Popular Culture, and Feminist/Queer Theory.
Thomas has been writing since approximately July of 2009, and his articles have been published in a number of online venues, including Demand Studios, eHow, Helium, Associated Content, and Triond. He has written (and plans to write) about a number of subjects, including travel, creative writing, literature, history (everything from the Egyptians to today,) GLBT, feminist, women's studies, and gender issues, film and popular culture, television, and much more. He is also particularly interested in education, and is currently teaching academic writing to freshman and sophomore students (a recent class was entitled "Representations of Sexuality in Popular Culture.")
